The Beyond the Bell program is available at both Gravenstein and Hillcrest campuses and is designed to enrich the lives of our students in a fun and educational way before and after school.
TK/Kindergarten - 5th Grade
For our young scholars in TK/Kindergarten through 5th grade at Gravenstein, the Beyond the Bell Program offers a nurturing environment where they can flourish. Here, they not only receive nutritious snacks but also dedicated homework time and assistance to ensure their academic success. Beyond the classroom, there's ample time for outdoor sports and recreation, letting them unleash their energy. And for those with a creative streak, we've got arts, crafts, and gardening activities to inspire their inner artists and green thumbs.
6th - 8th Grade
For our older students in 6th through 8th grade at Hillcrest, the Beyond the Bell Program continues to provide a safe and supportive space for growth. Nutritious snacks, homework time, and a helping hand are constants here, ensuring that their academic journey remains on the right track. Outdoor sports and recreation keep them active and engaged, and the pursuit of knowledge isn't confined to textbooks alone. We encourage their artistic expressions through various programs, fostering well-rounded individuals.
We understand that education isn't confined to the school hours, and the Beyond the Bell Program embodies this philosophy. The Beyond the Bell Program operates on the school calendar and is therefore not open during school holidays.
Gravenstein Beyond the Bell Program Hours
Before School
Monday - Friday, 7:00 am until class start time
After School
Monday - Friday, class end time until 5:30pm
Hillcrest Beyond the Bell Program Hours:
Before School
Monday - Friday, 7:15 am until class start time
After School
Monday - Friday, class end time until 5:15 pm
Early release or Minimum Day
Open from school release until 5:30 pm at Gravenstein and 5:15 pm at Hillcrest.
There is a $15 registration fee.
A monthly contract must be completed to secure the days and times needed during the school year. Keep in mind you will not be added to the list if you have a balance owed on your account.
Once your student is enrolled you can make your payments in the following ways:
- Go to www.myprocare.com
- Sign up for automated Online Payment
- Make checks out to Gravenstein USD and deliver to the school office or a Beyond the Bell staff member. Or mail to the District Office at 725 Bloomfield Rd, Sebastopol, CA 95472.
- You can call the GUSD Business Office at (707) 823-7008 to make a credit/debit card payment over the phone.
There will be a $12.00 service charge on returned checks and the check will need to be replaced with cash or money order. We will not re-deposit checks. There will be a $30 Late Payment fee for payments received after the 15th of the month. We reserve the right to discontinue service when payment is not made by the 15th of the month.
Please allow time to collect belongings, sign out, and say goodbye.
The late fee is $5.00 per minute. After 3 occurrences of picking up after 5:30 pm at Gravenstein and 5:15 pm at Hillcrest, we reserve the right to discontinue service.
Only authorized individuals over the age of 18 may check students out. Authorized individuals are Parents or Guardians and those listed on the application under "Family/Friends who can pick up student".
