Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process through which individuals acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to:

  1. Understand and Manage Emotions
SEL helps our students recognize and regulate their emotions, creating a positive environment for growth.
  2. Set and Achieve Positive Goals
We empower our students to set ambitious, yet achievable goals and work towards them with dedication and enthusiasm.
  3. Feel and Show Empathy for Others
SEL fosters empathy, promoting an understanding and appreciation of others' perspectives and feelings.
  4. Establish and Maintain Positive Relationships
Building strong and positive relationships is a cornerstone of SEL. It helps our students connect with their peers and teachers in meaningful ways.
  5. Make Responsible Decisions
Through SEL, our students learn to make informed, ethical choices, preparing them for a lifetime of responsible decision-making.

Why is SEL Important?

For children, SEL provides an environment that helps foster supportive relationships that make learning challenging, engaging, and meaningful. It's not just about academics; it's about developing the skills and emotional intelligence that will serve them well throughout their lives. SEL is integrated into our curriculum and school culture to ensure that students not only excel academically but also thrive emotionally and socially.
